TIL yet another way banks abuse AML "compliance": to get rid of a mortgage and liquidate the house. The bank didn't do their due diligence when accepting the mortgage, which under Dutch law is insufficient grounds for termination.

So they started asking questions about her birth country and her foreign boyfriend, both unrelated the mortgage. And we didn't sufficiently answer those they terminated the mortgage - so unless she wins the upcoming trial she'll be homeless with kids.

Rabobank (through its subsidiary) showing its true nature. These are the people we bailed out with tax payer money.

3rd party mortgage provider in US charging 2nd escrows/fraud for approx. 1.5 yrs now/ still fighting this

imo/fraud

US consumer protection is non-existent so these companies don't even need to abuse AML to scam people. Not sure if that's a feature or a bug :-(

i have a personal path & will pursue but most people will not imo another 3 party risk growing fast lately

Trustless done wrong 😱

Wow, 1 of every 6 Rabobank employees works in their "offboarding team" 🤯. Together they ditch 1.3% of their customers every year

Doesn't sound like a sustainable strategy
