Family hasn’t slept for about a week since switching our daughter from a crib to a twin.. we’re struggling.

Any helpful suggestions?

Bless you guy!

Sounds like it wasn't just the bed that turned into a twin, but your daughter as well 😬

Not sure if you're Christian, but my best suggestion is to ask God for the best solution. He'd give you ideas that are specific to your case.

I've heard lots of different suggestions when my sister-in-law asked a similar question, but half of the suggestions were totally wrong for their situation. I remember somethig about removing all the toys from the room, some might have been to leave their favorite toy with them etc. So, kinda all over the place.

By far the best advice I’ve received. Easy to get wrapped up in emotions and forget to lean on Jesus. Thanks for pointing me back to God 🙏

I'm glad! I don't know how others make it through life without Jesus. He literally knows everything and LOVES to help us. He is so good and it can take courage to believe Him at times, but wow, does it make a difference to lean on Him!

I've been practicing giving God all the tension induced by traffic lately. Something like, "Lord, I give you all the tension, and I recieve Your peace," and wow does it shift things!!

Might be helpful in your situation as well, tweaked to tention of lack of sleep rather than traffick obviously 🙂

Sleep in the bed too. My kids never slept in our bed. If they woke up/ called out I would go and sleep in their bed, until they got comfortable with it. The benefit it builds a bond and you both sleep.

Yeah that’s what we did last night since we NEEDED sleep lol.

I would say it took maybe 2 weeks to normalize. My son is 5 and he still wants us to snuggle him till he's asleep, I set an alarm and take a nap for 45 min before I do my farm work.

We roll played with dolls and stuffs. Tucking them in and doing a wine down activity and then a sticker chart where if she sleep with no issue for 3 days in a row she got a special prize etc

I like the dolls idea! I’ll try it out.

We do have a sticker chart. It worked with potty training
