That was an all around great conversation touching on many interesting points that are widely unexplored in any real depth by the broader community.

In addition to the blue check campaign, I also think the segment about how social media ( #nostr specifically ) could eventually be the ramp that onboards the most bitcoiners, as a collateral effect of no coiner's hunger for free speech and many of the other features of #nostr that legacy media is quickly trying to mimic.

I.e. #zaps

#community ownership across all #nostr #apps the value4value concept, which inherently results in a different kind of relationship and discussion with your community. It's more authentic. Owness being on advertisers having to fit into our communities as opposed to the owness being on influencers having to shape/mold followers to fit the brand/sponsor.

Orange pilling my brother-in-law has so far proven fruitless, but I mentioned nostr to my social media savvy sister-in-law and she was immediately interested in direct payments for content. It will be interesting to see if she makes any moves, but I agree that nostr could be the entry point for many eventual BTC users.

Also, advertising will have new models, but it seems the old ways would still work on nostr.

I hadn't considered this line of discussion until that episode. But yeah. I can see #nostr being that unexpected catalyst driving adoption.
