Whilst it's on my list of things to do, which seems to grow ever longer, have you considered taking up airsoft as hobby ??
There are many ways to develop needed skill sets "on the quiet" so to speak.
Archery clubs, Reenactment societies etc.
Just throwing ideas into the discussion 😉🤣
I have experience with firearms and am a pretty good shot, just never imagined I’d ever actually require those skills!
I’m not used to thinking adversarially, since truly grocking Bitcoin it’s all I can do.

With the exception that I imagined I would need those skills . It's why I developed them.
But I'm a natural born cynic, and the more I meet people the more cynical I become 🤣🤣
