#GM I'm really starting to hate Gnome
yesterday has started some messed up nonsense where i can't open the gnome control center
so i've installed cinnammon... and, no way i'm installing gay DE, ugh
cinnammon wisely uses the last good version of GTK, 3.... 4 is a zoo
Did you try Xfce?
nah, cinnammon is the best, really it's just a rebadged gnome 3 without all the retardation
and it defaults to X, also, btw lol
Cinnamon is one of the best desktop environments. The problem is, as they're reliant on the gtk, and GNOME devs are the main drivers of it, Cinnamon is always playing catching up. But yeah, it's a great relief for those who like the traditional desktop metaphor.
