Governments treats their citizens like livestock too badly already, I don't think parents branding their kids (pun intended) is gonna help 😔

Haha, DO IT :) I figure there are worse ways to permanently scar your kids.
My kids swim and routinely write sharpie all over them with their events and heats and messages.
I'm sure whatever ink is in that sharpie goes directly to their brain. But they swim fast, so... Tradeoffs :)
