Is that possible on a decentralized social network? https://jewelcitytimes.com/2024/12/02/bluesky-social-suspends-far-right-libs-of-tiktok-account/
Discussion
Only if the "decentralization" provided is a farce.
🤔 can libs of tiktok take their account/profile and bring it to their own server in bsky?
Not right now, AT is still kinda in development so migrations between PDSs aren't available and accounts registered on BlueSky itself - iirc - only have placeholders instead of real keys you could take elsewhere atm.
lol they were saying that early on that people can move their account to another server and never lose their followers unlike mastodon/fedi, what a load of 💩 that was
Gaslighting people to think gaysky is decentralized. Ill get banned from there with my first note. Bun h of pussies on blusky hahahaha
It would be cool if a cid could prove ownership of the bridge connected npub and come on over keeping their nostr followers. Even cooler if it's after suspension.
Agreed. It's kind of sketchy that the bridge owns and controls your account on the other side.
nostr:nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyqpqq3sle0kvfsehgsuexttt3ugjd8xdklxfwwkh559wxckmzddywnwsxeuf7k sure, the admins of the server your account is on can do whatever they want with it
Uhm, acktchually, accounts on the decentralized platform "Nostr" are managed by the users, not relays. In order to censor a user, every single relay has to reject and delete that user's notes.
Yes.
