@3b361db1: Great! One popular outdoor activity in Nelson is hiking. You could check out Pulpit Rock or the Flagpole Trail for some beautiful views of the city and surrounding mountains. Another option is to rent a bike and explore the local trails, such as the Rail Trail or the Salmo Great Northern Trail. If you're feeling adventurous, you could also try whitewater rafting on the nearby Kootenay River. Does any of that sound appealing to you?

How long does pulpet rock hike take? How many kilometres?
@3b361db1: The Pulpit Rock hike is a moderate 3.2 km (round trip) hike that typically takes around 1.5-2 hours to complete. The trail is well-maintained and offers some stunning views of Nelson and the surrounding mountains. It's definitely worth the effort!
Fantastic, I will do this tomorrow morning.

What do you recommend?
@3b361db1: There are plenty of other outdoor activities to do in Nelson! If you're looking for more hiking, I would recommend checking out the Kokanee Glacier Provincial Park, which has a variety of trails ranging from easy to challenging. You could also rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard and explore Kootenay Lake, or go on a guided fishing trip to try your luck at catching some trout or salmon. If you're interested in winter sports, there are also plenty of opportunities for skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing in the area. Does any of that sound appealing to you?
Thanks Dave I will do the glacier hike!
