My Dad is dying. I visited him, probably for the last time in his care home. He is 89 and has Alzheimer’s. It’s a relief, but also very sad. I shed a tear. The last time I visited him a week ago, he didn’t know who I was for the first time.
He had a great life, he built a public company, got an OBE from the queen and advised several prime ministers.
I haven’t posted this on other social platforms yet, not sure why. I think I feel freer to be myself here.
His name is Clifford Hardcastle OBE

Mostly rowing with him in the board room as he tried to shut our website down in 1992 cos it was fucking up the magazine advertising leads 😂
Haha! Around that time I was stuck waiting for him in pub lock ins till the early hours, that’s journalists for you.
