- 1970: oil will run out in 10 years.

- 1980: we will suffer another ice age in 10 years.

- 1990: acid rain will destroy crops in 10 years.

- 2000: the ozone layer will disappear in 10 years.

- 2010: the poles will melt in 10 years.

- 2020: if it is hot it is due to global warming and if it is cold we are suffering from climate change.

I remember as a kid being so worried about acid rain in particular we were told what wma serious issue it would be... fast forward to Noe I haven't heard those two words together for years until this post.
