Is there any country in the West whose government is not currently mass importing immigrants?

Australia is on track for 637k new persons this year, starting from a base of 26.4M that’s a 2.4% increase with literally zero slack in housing availability (1% vacancy rate) and unemployment at just 3.6%.

Governments appear to be setting fire to the living standards of their people to prop up their Ponzi schemes in the short term.

The only way this changes is if an equal number of existing working people 20-40 years old leave; destroy the tax base, wreck the replacement rate, withdraw from local capital and retail markets, leave the government to rule over a bunch of retired Boomers and Immigrant gig-workers whilst punching a generational hole in the budget that they weren’t anticipating and cannot structurally repair.

First I thought they're crazy and don't know what they're doing. Then I realised they know exactly what they're doing and it's all going according to plan.

Yeah there is no accident. You can’t bring fruit or veg into Australia without the government wanting to give you an enema at the border but they can bring humans in by the plane load with nowhere to house them and no jobs to place them in and we’re supposed to think it’s all just a mistake and they’ll fix it soon.

The immigrants are merely a Band-Aid on a gangrenous wound. They’re not to blame and they can’t fix it either but they’re not helping what is already a dire situation.

Watch for them to be scapegoated when things go south.
