The most simple and straight forward way is to get a Start9 Server (it consists of a raspberry pi loaded with the appropriate software) which is ready to work. Your involvement in setting it up will be minimal.

They also provide you with the option of downloading the blockchain for you so you don't spend days/weeks waiting for it to download.
