After so many years, people still didn't understand WHO really is Darth Vader and what was his "role" in all the SW saga.
It was always seen as the bad villain, the scourge of the galaxy, the dictator, when in fact was ... THE BALANCE INTO THE FORCE.

The true reason why Luke wanted to burn the Jedi tree, was that he realized that was lied /deceived by the Jedi that there's only one "good" side... when in fact the goal was to bring the balance into the
Force.
Luke realized that he wasn't enough strong to be the chosen one and that was his father, Darth Vader.
That's why Yoda appeared, trying again to deceive Luke not to burn the remains of Jedi knowledge in that tree.
