Just what he said. Its #1 why I cannot use it. (I am also not a fan of the KYC, or the central servers (which is also likely why the search works so well)) I use #Amber with Amethyst. But for primal would have to just paste in the nsec. I'm sure they have plans to fix that?
But #nsec stays encrypted ! ..I mean I put my nsec in ton of new apps all the time ..its just #nostr ..not my #bitcoin wallet !

How do you know the nsec stays encrypted except by trusting the application itself? How do you know each update you install keeps it encrypted without verifying it.

The beauty of #nostr is you literally know pretty much all the core devs .. and you can easily trust them .. let's be reasonable .. you are not running a bank here ..
