Greed stems from beliefs around scarcity. It comes from a fear of not having enough. I like to seperate it only because most people don't see that, but I think of it as just another fear.

Fear is a mind trick. It severs & distorts your connection to your higher self. This is when you do dumb stuff that does not serve you.

All fears start as irrational beliefs. Find the belief, articulate the belief & most will dissolve just by observing the absurdity of them. When I gave up eating vegetables, I legit thought I might die. I couldn't articulate that at the time but it's what I subconsciously believed.

Absolutely. I would just add that perhaps next to fear, another subcomponent of greed is pride. Sometimes, pride itself is made of fear not to be left at a disadvantage. But often, it seems, there is just this perverse, to me incomprehensible, self satisfaction of others not getting what they need, but what you do have. It must be caused by some early childhood psychological trauma, I assume. But it is an absolute pandemic. Almost everyone has it.

I think that feels more like resentment or jealousy. I can't get what I perceive you get easily, therefore I'm going to destroy what you have. Oh look a new BMW, let's key it. It's like it makes them feel less helpless & powerless by inflicting pain & damage onto somebody else.

It feels similar to similar to why some people have no problem taking other people's possessions.

All these dark emotions stem from beliefs of feeling seperate from & less than others. A deep belief that they are not worthy of love & abundance.

Our childhood is filled with traumas & conditioning that lays a path of automatic action & thinking, for our adult lives. Those in power know it's easier to control a divided population. A population that fears & distrusts each other.

Thanks for your reply man. It's been valuable for me to explore these things in more detail.
