Actually, I think Bitcoin is more fungible than gold. Specially when you don't have the proper tools to verify the purity.

A common tatics on war/dirty governments was to mix metals to produce more "gold" or "silver" coins with decreasing purity

You wouldn't want to funge your good coins with dirty coins.

Bitcoin gets a B here cause of three letter agencies marking coins tainted and preventing free exchange of such coins. Coins are A+ fungible on the protocol level of course.

Hope I get to see the days when bitcoin’s fungibility is unquestionable.

Gold is more durable than bitcoin?

Historically speaking I guess + if you lose your gold coin it can be found, not really the case with bitcoin.
