Went though the same thing! Watched videos about putting together a rasp pi, etc. in the end it was really easy, buy an Umbrel Home. It’s so cool. Connect to a Sparrow wallet and a Blockstream Jade.
What about the laptop? Running on Linux? or a MacOS? Should that be relatively new?
I don’t have the tech chops to make that work. Tried to download the blockchain and I guess the machine didn’t have GPU or speed to do it. For $400 the Umbrel had it all done in 2 days and enough memory for another decade.
