People talk like banning Damus is going to backfire, as if people are going to "wake up" and suddenly flock to Nostr. Motherfucker, do you even REMEMBER covid? Nobody is going to wake up. You are a member of a small, niche online community that the powers that be would happily crush and you need to start thinking like that way. The first order of business is to protect what you have. If your app is dependent on the app store for distribution then it's not going to make it - it'll either be neutered or banned. Sorry, but that's just the way it is. You can't take on big tech while using their infrastructure.

You cant see me but I'm starting a slow clap.
The slow clap is working, clapping slightly faster now .
Heres an idea, how about apps that are posted to the appstore provide their own in-app upgrades? Then when the appstore changes its policy they cant claw-back existing users when they want to update? There has to be a way to uograde the app without going through the OS installer.
Indeed. Damus needs to pivot to PWA.
