Yeah you need stability to build a civilization and every civilization in history has been built by religion. The atheist ones were unstable and perished.

Modern civilization is still held together by religious values, nihilistic pleasure-seeking atheists enjoy a stability brought to them by religion, they're hard at work trying to destroy it though and their attempt to replace God with the state doesn't seem to be producing good results.
