IAM's first album Ombre Est Lumière came out in 1993. I was 11 at the time, living as an immigrant right next to the CERN facilities and my world changed forever because of it. This is what I grew up with and what deeply shaped my values. I wish everyone could understand french just because of their lyrics, they are imo unmatched. The song "Mars Contre-attaque" is so accurate today as it was then.
