Republicans believe that if the United States could become oil independent, meaning no more importing any foreign oil, that for some reason US oil companies would just drill baby drill and sell you gas cheaper.

Eliminating competition doesn’t lower prices.

There is no benefit for any company to sell you more of their products for a lower price. It’s actually illegal.

In what world from a national defense standpoint would you use up all of your oil and allow everyone else to have it?
