multiple implementations is healthy, but that's not what knots is. knots is extortion:
- "run knots or your node will run out of resources"
- "run knots or your internet will be overwhelmed"
- "run knots or bitcoin will stop being money"
- "run knots or you're a spammer"
- "run knots or the feds will come after you"
there is never an honest discussion of problems. never an analysis of why things are different now and deserve specific action. never what has been tried before, why these things didn't work, or different potential solutions. there is only ever:
"run knots"
and sometimes "our lawyer says you'll go to jail"
this is not how people debate in good faith. this is classic fear, uncertainty, and doubt.
