OK, fellow #Markdown nerds, I have a stumper: I want to get the stylized word LaTeX in my beamer slides but also have the PowerPoint slides fall back to "LaTeX". If I use "\LaTeX", it looks great in the PDF, but doesn't appear at all in PowerPoint. Can I specify a fallback?

Oof I don't know how PowerPoint interprets markdown! It's apparently completely escaping anything followed by \ did you try \\ ?

Maybe I forgot one important detail: I'm using Pandoc to render the slides. :)
