Small but worthy improvement to my compost bins: put a board under the tarp cover.

This keeps the rain from pooling on top of the tarp. Tarps are not a good long term solution because they get torn on the wire edges of the bin. Metal roof scraps with heavy weights have been working well on my compost storage bins.
