I need to do the same at my partner’s house, gonna get some nice Unifi APs and controller in there as the upstairs “office” never gets used due to shite reception. Shitty ISP issued router/AP needs to go in the bin, or at least turned into bridge mode….just haven’t got round to it yet >.>;

As for what imma knock in his network? ... Anything that isn't literally a decade and some old. His current AP only has 100mbit ports; literally hampering his PS5 RemotePlay experience o.o So I am gonna check out his hardware in detail, meassure cable lengths and build a shopping list, then break off the next day and buy alllllll the things in town and present him with a bill. x) Gonna be a wild ride. It's like a house makeover - but, network.
