dwl so simple, it builds over wlroots as a sway replacement but it works like dwm on X (configs as patches in c files).

So cool, I use it, its a bit more complex than dwm because most of the work of the DE is now handled client-side and reimplemented as protocol in upper layer (on X the bloat is all on the X-server layer, then dwm is a super simple and slim layer to put over... dwl is not so suckless like dwm IMO, but still overall dwl+wlroots+wayland-various-libs is so fantastic experience, better that dwm+X+all-the-X-bloat... it works great also with xWayland)
