Sorry, couldn't help but eavesdrop. Gonna look through your history for soil blocker talk (don't even know what it is). I happen to be growing those same two herbs right now

There's a recipe for the soil but there's a quick demo
Ah thank you, I was not finding it.
Oh nifty device. Growing some for first time, and so far so good. Got some chives on there too. Probably have to sort out the spacing at some point... may have gotten carried away with seeds after first attempt failed

Looks great, watch the chives they will continue to propagate if not kept in check
Thanks for the pointer. No clue what lessons I'll learn once things get going. Assume I'll have to cull some of the plants that are too close together.
Also got a similar sized thing of lettuce (something ate all of them recently, so now have to cover with a mesh at night), and a couple tomato plants. If all goes well maybe I'll expand a bit next time
I don't use any pots now and my seedlings grow about 2 weeks faster than the package suggests

Wooooow! Didn't know you were some sort of mad scientist! So many questions, but will hold off for another time. Looks very cool!!!
Follow #farmupdate i am happy to share any knowledge. Please feel free to create a list if you like
Followed. Will keep in mind.
One thing I wanna ask real quick is, my tomatoes are growing real fast (the plants). I've read that I should prune a bit, but hate to cut what's growing so nicely. Prune now?
Solid idea
Totally worth the money. I didn't have time to do my own soil mixture so got the best potting mix I could and used rainwater and some kelpmeal with some dr earth with a sprinkle of mycorrhizal powder. Is it going to help? No clue but I figured I had it around so worth a shot lol
I tried to keep it simple first go around. High quality potting mix, some dolomite, a bit of fertilizer. Just followed some instructions I had found. Maybe after a couple go arounds I will try this advanced stuff! It's been more rewarding than expected, and enjoying learning the little ins and outs of gardening.
