No pain, no gain.

Yesterday, I suffered a deep cut/tear in the palm of my hand. An hour later, I went to do my routine of pull-ups and push-ups with my bloody hand and did my duty, with pain and blood, but I did it. My wife didn't understand.

For some, it may seem silly, or perhaps the madness of a crazy person, but in the absence of someone to teach me about life, I had to figure it out on my own, and sports are what have taught me the most. Sports teach you to suffer, they teach you to resist, they teach you to be patient in life.

This action, as I say, seems silly, but it's like giving and polishing karate kid wax, unconsciously preparing you for the hard times in life.

Are you going to give up at the first hurdle when things don't go your way or cause you some pain or discomfort? NO.

Always move forward.

Maybe these shitty stories aren't useful to anyone, but if they've been useful to me, maybe they'll be useful to some crazy guy too.

Post: Do sports even in adverse weather conditions. Don't give up because of rain, wind, a volcano, a hurricane, an alien invasion, or a meteorite.

Post2: I forgot to mention that today they amputated my hand, but it was a good story to tell.

Good stoic story!

Sports mean a lot to me too β€” they’ve taught me resilience just like you said. Today I’m going for my longest cycling ride ever, and I’ll share it later on Nostr πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈβš‘

Yeah, life is a bitch.

Don't forget to treat it as such...

I'd say no pain, no balance.

Our aversion to any discomfort at all leads us to imbalance.

That pain must be expressed in some other way or form.

We're here to feel it all. A little pain from exercise that incidentally also makes you stronger is probably the best kind of pain to feel. I also like really spicy food 🀣 Thai hot please!
