Joel only wants free speech for herself but doesn’t like when other people label his content. The labels let people choose to avoid her posts if they want to use nostr with her profanity.

Value free speech? Say nigger

Joel here gets unhinged way too easily.

I actually meant what you did that upset Joel

Joel is upset that Nostr has a way of reporting and labeling content. It is a core part of the protocol. You can say what you want but nobody else has to listen to you. Nor do relays have to host any content they don’t want to. In Nostr any account can be run by a person or a bot. Kind of central to a network that is permissionless without a centralized authority enforcing KYC on users. Joel is upset that there is a bot which looks at content and labels it bases on content, in this case nostr:npub14h23jzlyvumks4rvrz6ktk36dxfyru8qdf679k7q8uvxv0gm0vnsyqe2sh, which I helped create. The bot simply looks at nostr content that Nos users might see and labels for things like spam, corse language, etc…. These reports are intended only for people who want to follow the bot and use them to choose what to see in their client or host on your relay. This is the web of trust model (WOT) that nostr uses, instead of a centralized trust and safety team. Joel could mute the bot, but she’s upset that other people might find it useful as a tool for limiting how much of her stuff they see. Joel wants to be able to impose her speech on others and threatens violence when anyone says something she doesn’t like. I think she needs therapy, but everyone has to find their own path to inner peace and acceptance.

Got it 👍🏽
