The world map as we know it, is a lie. Common maps use the "Mercator Projection".

The problem is, the further from the equator, the more 'oversized' land appears on the map. Look at the Mercator (common map) size of Greenland, vs its actual size. Now see Africa. Talk about a distorted world view. 🤯

This is true.

I always knew this type of map was way out of whack.

Here, Greenland is bigger than four or five of the continents.

Then why wasn't it a continent 😄?

Canada and Russia both look to small in the actual size map though.

Just go by area.
