Discussion
I can totally understand your concern. I also felt the same way.
Here is the update I have shared on my fundraiser page when I created this account on nostr.
How much funding do you still need?
We have raised approx 18k from offline and online mode. We have some cash in hand. My husband is also selling his bike . Honestly we need approx 70k more to reach our goal.
And it needs to be by the deadline for treatment? Have you tried other funding methods as well like local radio ads or from non profits for that?
We raised offline funding through our church. Didn’t thought of the radio. We have reached out to many non profits but some never responded back and for some we didn’t qualify their criteria.
That’s stupid you didn’t qualify, try reaching out to radios, local tv and news station Ect, explain the situation. Many companies will be happy to do it for free if you are local to them.
Ask them to help you raise money and have them say where people can donate, or create TikTok’s or something. Just some ideas of course, I’m sure you’ve been doing all you can.
I would donate more but I am in a difficult financial situation as well currently.
I never considered that before. Thank you for the suggestion; I'll look into the criteria and costs involved.
I understand that $70,000 may not seem like a large sum, but our circumstances have changed. I left my job to care for my daughter full-time, which has increased our expenses due to her treatment. Last year, my husband took out a personal loan to help cover our bills, and now he is the sole breadwinner for our family. Our only asset is our home, and selling it would be our last option. I sincerely hope we don’t have to go down that path.
