I've checked it some time ago. It could send notifications to nfty companion app on device, but I could not see the way how it could wakeup another (react native) app that might be in killed state.
Anyone know how ntfy can wake up another app?

It cant. At least when i tried it.
The only alternative I found was to run the app in background otherwise the notification comes but the app has no internet
