tl;dr: This application mirrors Android devices (video and audio) connected via USB or over TCP/IP, and allows to control the device with the keyboard and the mouse of the computer. It does not require any root access. It works on Linux, Windows and macOS.
It is also a free insurance & day saver tool if your screen dies!
Do you need to already have it set up (agree permissions) or can you use it on a phone where the screen is already broken?
The first, for safety.
You need to enable USB debugging and confirm the first USB connection.
A tool that works without these steps would be wonderful for recovering smashed phones, and a nightmare for all the others that work :)
That is why I wanted to clarify haha. Was wondering if Android was so exposed by default. Good to hear it’s not.
I confess that I the first time I checked the docs with a little apprehension ;)
But if the screen is already broken with the pin you can authorize it via OTG mode! So without anabling the debug mode in advance:
