If the U.S. started switching to a nuclear based grid, the oil would become much cheaper for the military to use because there wouldnβt be as much demand

It would have been cheaper for the USG to have bought all of Iraqβs oil than it was for what they spent on gas alone during the Iraq war
The war wasnβt about oil or keeping it cheap. If anything, it was to make it expensive for the oil companies and to keep OPEC happy and in line
