Pay attention to the fud. It tells you what they fear.

Bitcoin is used for money laundering. (It is semi anonymous and they might not always know whom is paying who and what for.)

Bitcoin is used to fund criminals and terrorists. (They are unable to control or censor transactions.)

Bitcoin will boil the oceans, will take all of the energy, and consumes swimming pools with every transaction. (Proof of Work means that they cannot capture and control it with laws and regulations. It would require actual tangible assets and energy that cannot just be printed.)

Bitcoin offers anonymity, uncensorable transactions, and cannot be stopped just by writing a new law. Everything that absolutely terrifies those who want to control you and everyone else.

The fud is becoming ever more ridiculous and easily dismissed. It reeks of desperation and means that bitcoin is winning.
