Having my second cup of coffee, just the usual heavy cream and cinnamon. We just got back from visiting Hometown Meat Market, and I'm excited to say that we ordered half a cow for the freezer! Their chef was cooking on the patio and I got to try some beef bacon, oh it was so good. Brought a pack of that home with me, along with some beef tallow for cooking. It'll be a week or two for our beef order, and I can't wait. I love supporting good local producers. #grownostr #countrylife #localbeef

Sounds like a great morning! I’ve been interested in doing this myself and have even contacted local farmers about the process. Please let me know, what was pricing like? It was roughly $300-400 for half a cow here.
