Video as it's face-time replacement or just sending videos?

Like a FaceTime replacement. From research it actually looks like you can FaceTime from iPhone to android and android can accept it through a web browser

You can do private video calls through Signal but the quality is usually not as good as FaceTime.

Good suggestion. There are other options of course but the barrier to entry for Signal is so low that even my old folks will use it.
