When I first used nostr, I thought it would make the world better by letting us communicate freely and send Bitcoin. Now, I think nostr is literally going to topple tyrannical governments with free speech and Bitcoin.

That would need a very thought through scheme for forward secrecy for messages and an airtight scheme for never using a Nostr identity key twice. Otherwise youre going to likely wind up creating a lot of useful metadata for regimes.
Nostr is still extremely new, and I’m certain more privacy will be built into it. #[4] made a good point about the CCP banning Damus from their App Store, as opposed to Twitter still being available but unusable. The CCP can stop you from using Twitter, but they don’t know how to stop nostr so they are banning clients.

I hope for the same and at the same time I fear that we (the current nostr entities) don't separate our bitcoin maximalism from welcoming any kind of nostr entity, no matter what they like to produce as notes content.
May it be shitcoininers, spammers, fraudsters, criminals, corrupt politicians, anti-nostrs or even your neighbor your interacting just by lawyers for over 21 years. Everyone should be welcomed to use this open protocols because I believe that every entity should be allowed to communicate freely and I believe as well that every entity can change to the better over the course of their life.
