Are those who do not respect the saints at fault or those who expect respect for the holy?
What if the other person's belief is not to respect other saints, then whose belief will be respected?
Can the other person's belief be respected without giving up on his/her own?
I’d say it depends on the ritual which follows if something is disrespected. It could mean war for all I know. If by not respecting you just mean not praying for or to them, that’s a different story. For example if one’s person belief is that eating children is right, I will not respect the belief and do my best to end the tradition. That starts by exposing it for its insanity and potentially fighting the tribe that tries to make eating children part of society. Some things can not be respected/accepted by certain religions. For christians there are certainly traditions deemed satanic.
In my belief "people cannot determine the sacred".
That is, I would be mistaken in my belief if I said that they have right to determine the sacred
They don't have to believe it, of course.
So they can identify the scriptures. (So they don't have to respect my faith).
But if I respect their sanctity, I will again be wrong in my belief.
That's why I don't show respect.
But they expect respect for their holy ones.
So they expect me to reject my own faith.
These holinesses exist not only in Christians, but also in Muslim Jews and Atheists.
This has nothing to do with religion.
For example, marriage. States, religious groups, political groups, etc. For many, it is a sacred institution.
To me, they are a diabolical institution.
I cannot show respect.
But they are waiting. They are challenging. Law is with them. They punish.
Respect for my faith? So respect my faith in not respecting the holy?
No respect. There is punishment : )
