#Mutable is not just a gamified way to snoop on other people’s public mutes.

It’s also a simple backup service for your mute and follow lists that lets you easily restore data that has been overwritten by other clients.

If you’ve ever signed into a client and lost all of your follows or mute lists, you already know how frustrating that can be.

This is a preventive step that takes a few seconds, and could save you hours of agony.

I already got people dming me about muting them. Thanks dude 🤣

The data was already out there, it just wanted to be free.

Its good. Forced me to implement private muting 🤝

Yeah but snooping is fun and this info being public is one of the cool things about Nostr.

Pull mute date too.

Then build WoT finder. Something's funky on my posts.

Building a client rn. Tagged you.

Interesting, I have to see what metadata is available. Someone else also asked me to implement a WoT feature, but I have so many demands on my time, I might not get to it for a while.

Same. This client build is daunting, but it'll blow people's minds. Way too much to build.

I tried building a mini-client a few months ago and I ended up putting it on hold indefinitely because it was much harder than it seemed, and I discovered some other problems that I needed to solve by building a few separate apps first.

Very similar here. I've built about 10 or 15 test benches. Basically built each aop function separately. Learned all the tricks. Now I just need to button them altogether in a final package.

And I am pushing PWA even farther than I ever thought possible. App stores are dead.

BTW, I was able to add the date feature, i.e., ”Last muted” in the search results list. It was really easy, since we just pull the event timestamp and display it in a human-readable format.

I lost all my mute list but I tried Mutable and I was unable to restore it.

You lost it using which client? Mutable can't restore a list that it doesn't have a previous backup for.

Hum, I think it was x21.social, a fork from Jumble.

I started a new list but on mutable I see some mutes but on Jumble no. Why?

Reloaded here and worked.

So it’s all working now? Sometimes it’s just a matter of which relays each client is using.

No. I lost my mute list. Now I'm muting all people I remember again. And now I'm backing up on mutable.

This is the Way!
