The older I get, the more I appreciate the physical aspect of gold. Remarkable privacy and no forks to battle over. Sure, you have digital transactions and the 21 million cap, but not without tradeoffs. I think a world under a gold standard again would not be much different than a world under a custodial Bitcoin standard, but I’m still rooting for Bitcoin.

Problem is that most, even that Schiffty guy, do not actually hold the physical #Gold but just Paper #Gold. And of course the transportability, as well as the fear that it may get stolen when kept at home.
True, but I think most Bitcoiners would agree that we would be much better off with a return to the gold standard versus the current fiat system.
Most Bitcoin acquired this cycle just sits at Coinbase custody anyways. Plus, most actual Bitcoin acquired during the prior three cycles is also tied to KYC.
