i went to sign up for coincorner cos they gave us a free card at bitcoin atlantis

when it came to asking me for a photo of my passport i decided it wasn't worth continuing

the pushback of this is gonna be big

i don't need KYC for my alby, hell, the requirements for setting up an amazon account were lower, i think that people are just gonna get tired of over and over again repeating the same fucking signup flow that takes forever and feels like an interrogation by nazis

i'm already tired of it... hoping i can avoid ever doing it again

like, just thinking back, i didn't have to do this for steam, i haven't had to do it for most ecom sites also... forcing them all to do this security theatre will only lead to more and more data breaches and once the tempo of that gets high enough the people will scream enough

just like how they did this with airport security and people stopped flying
