Is it just me or is the internet not fun anymore?

Discussion on reddit is basically dead. Either all bots, mind conformity in communities or just nobody cares.

You can't find anything on search engines, nothing. Except store hours and new york times. It's really crazy that this has happened.

I have a hypothesis, that like convergent evolution, the global network has selective pressures emergent from it's existence that guided it here, and that the idea that "content" lives on the web was just an early bootstrapping phase. We are finding the web devoid of content because the internet isn't for content, it is for protocols. Ultimately the outcome is that we use it as a tool and not as a television. We will get our newspaper here, not use it as our newspaper. Interactivity is what's fun, and that just doesn't happen on the web, it happens over protocols like this one.

Just today, I couldn't get a search engine to do anything useful. I even used the "{}" to exclude results lacking the exact words, and it just gave more useless irrelevant garbage.

Reddit died like 10-ish years ago. Anything not sufficiently communist gets removed.
