Went to a high school football game in Indiana and they weren’t accepting cash.

I asked why

The response was “I don’t know, we’re just freshman parents”.

Isn't it illegal to refuse to accept legal tender in the US?

You’d think.

I also can’t imagine many high schoolers having credit/debit cards. Probably makes it the hardest on the poorest of students.

If I were 11-14 again I'd like to think I would have a Cash App and associated debit card to get around some of the traditional banking nonsense.

Would be cool to see a stat of how middle and high schoolers handle money these days.
