Bit wjen they are rioting they suddenly become the best people in the world and an example to follow?

I don't know about that necessarily, but the two times I've been to Paris I enjoyed the hell out of it.
Yes, i agree with you. We lack of that healthy and battle spirit.
Unfortunately the people of Paris are responsible for many people not liking the French. Fortunately, all French people are not from Paris and they are great.
Travel tip: go to Bretagne and enjoy France and French people.
