Why is it possible to create the same user name twice?
Because user names are meaningless, however you #npub is unique. Asking me to read your npub and check it against a copy I have is horrible suggestion tho. Enter verification, once my NPI-05 verification is tied to my domain name you will see that domain name in my profile all you have to do is see that my “signature domain name” is there and you know who you are talking too.
You raise a good point tho, how does #Damus deal with duplicate usernames? It doesn’t search the whole of all your relays… and still what if I have two that are the same in my close circle, does it suggest both of I @ someone?
