People scared of Meta federating with the fediverse are interesting to read.

Thing is, how big is the Fediverse ACTUALLY? Even Nostr has, what, about 8k active users? Thats not a whole lot, let's be real. o.o And not all of those are even real users either.

Big Meta ain't gonna care too much about cute little Fediverse. Yes, they might federate; but once they have what they want, they just fuck off. xD

Always assuming the worst with big tech is normal - and recommended. But don't think Meta will spend more time with this "thing" more than they have to.

It's a good read, for sure.

I just don't believe Meta is going to be oh so helpful; they are quite egoistic. So once they have (whatever that may be) from the Fediverse, they'll bugger off immediately.

It'd be funny if they started to charge people for federation...
