Yeah but at least with "regressive" taxes everyone knows it's regressive. More honest even if still dishonest in that you're stealing and supposedly using it for good purposes. And tariffs are less of a privacy violation than income taxes. Incremental changes in circumstances are good, even if taxes are categorically evil.
Regressive means the lower classes are impacted more. Progressive means the upper class is impacted more. There is no fairness involved in either one.
Did I say anything about fairness?
All taxes are regressive. "Progressive" taxes affect the lower class more too. I crave honesty.
