I just noticed that I wasn’t following some people that I did before. It happened after testing multiple mobile clients with my account! Word of advice, create another account for testing or suffer the same fate! 🐶🐾🫡

Yes that has happened to me too. I think that switching clients can trigger this behavior.
I have had this happen several times, I’m not quite sure what causes it..
I suspect new clients overwrite your follows based on inaccurate or incomplete pull from relays. Maybe some truncation happens when they pull it! 🐶🐾🫡
metadata corruption - suggest use #nostr 3profile #manager tool to verify - edit as needed - "following" + "relay list" - so it get pushed to any client you sue. this was problem many has faced - https://metadata.nostr.com/ recommended and other are making too - very very important ! u cannot see post from other when follow 1000, 5000 or more
