They've had those a few years in China. You get in, and they take you whever the govt tells it to go (usually to your work or home). The ultimate in "disappearing" people. Patriot Act (actually NDAA) was renewed here in US. You know that is the real purpose.
I hadn't considered that angle yet in relation to eVTOLs, though I had thought about how self-driving cars could be used to "get rid of" or otherwise control people. But these eVTOLs are also automatically piloted...
